Return to the Living World Story: “Shadow in the Ice”
Rytlock and Crecia have fallen out of contact, and now it seems Braham is striking out on his own to find them. This is the worst moment for your allies to isolate themselves. Touch base with Jhavi at Jora’s Keep and learn what she knows. You’ll need to upgrade your account with Guild Wars 2: Path of Fire™ to play the content, but you can still unlock it to play later if you don’t own the expansion.

Catch up on the story of the dragon cycle and prepare for Guild Wars 2: End of Dragons. Log in to Guild Wars 2 between November 2 and November 8 to unlock this week’s spotlight episode for free! Check your in-game mailbox for a letter containing a story unlock token. You’ll find the unlocked episode under “The Icebrood Saga” in your story journal tab, which is located in the Hero panel. If you’ve already unlocked the episodes previously, you don’t need the tokens—you’re good to go!
New achievements for the episode are available in the “Bonus Events” category of your achievements tab. You can complete these at any time to progress the Seasons of the Dragons meta-achievement and work toward earning legendary rewards.
World vs. World No Downed State Event
From 11:00 a.m. Pacific Time (UTC-8) on November 5 until November 12, your WvW opponents will die when they are killed! Of course, so will you. A freak fluctuation in the Mists will remove the downed state, but you’ll also receive bonuses to world experience, reward-track progress, and magic find.
